Snow 2023-2024
Fluctuations within Replication and Repetition
This video and printmaking work explores the parallels between hand-spun cotton as DNA replication and snow as cellular matter. Drawing on my own experiences of pregnancy, parenting, and breast cancer, it investigates the subtle variability—the inherent imperfection—that emerges each time a form is reproduced.

複製と反復のゆらぎ
わたしは繰り返される複製のなかに生まれる微細な変異に関心を持っています。手紡ぎの糸、雪、版画。それらは同じように見えながら、同じにはなりません。妊娠、子育て、乳がんという自身の経験を土台に、繰り返される営みのなかに宿る、ゆらぎの痕跡を写しとります。
